California Homicide Investigators Association

NEW MEMBERS

The California Homicide Investigators Association (CHIA) is the largest association in the United States that is devoted solely to the education and training of law enforcement professionals who respond to and investigate homicide crimes. Membership is not just limited to professionals in the United States; CHIA continues to acquire members from areas such as Canada and the UK. The membership cost is $30 USD annually and not transferrable.


MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA

In order to become a member of the California Homicide Investigators Association (CHIA), you must meet the following criteria:

You must be a municipal, county, state, or federal agent and/or other publicly funded, certified and/or reserve law enforcement officer.

This includes:

  • Any full-time employed, or retired, law enforcement officers or technicians 
  • Correctional officers
  • Forensic analysts
  • Forensic examiners
  • County coroners
  • Prosecuting attorneys and any of their investigative staff members who are involved in death investigations and/or prosecutions

Membership Renewals

If your membership has elapsed or expired, please log-in to your CHIA account and renew your membership online. If you are unable to, please email Amber Heinlein to request service.


 

    CHIA Membership is $30 annually
